STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Scriptures

The verbal inspiration and total inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as originally given by God;

Their sole-sufficiency and final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

God

One God in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, co-equal, co-eternal, sovereign and active in creation, providence and redemption.

The Lord Jesus Christ

The essential deity and perfect humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ,

The only mediator between God and man,

His virgin birth, sinless life and sacrificial death on the cross as the only substitute for sinners;

His burial, bodily resurrection and ascension into Heaven;

His high priestly ministry and personal return.

The Holy Spirit

The deity of the Holy Spirit;

His work in regenerating the sinner;

Indwelling, sanctifying and empowering the believer.

The Devil

Satan is a fallen angel, an evil spirit, the prince of the power of the air;

The accuser of the Brethren, the great enticer and deceiver;

Whose ultimate destiny is the Lake of Fire.

Humanity

The creation of humanity, male and female in the image of God, equal in value and complementary in role;

The creation ordinance of marriage as the lifelong union of one man and one woman

The entrance of sin through Adam’s disobedience;

The fallen and totally depraved state of all humanity;

Their subjection to God’s wrath and condemnation;

Their responsibility to repent and believe the Gospel.

Salvation

Salvation is by grace alone through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, not of our works;

That all who believes with a repentant heart are born again and justified in Him.

The Church

The local church as a company of baptized believers gathered under the headship of Christ for worship, fellowship, instruction and evangelism;

The ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s supper:

-Baptism being the immersion of believers on profession of their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a symbol of their identification with Him in His death, burial and resurrection;

-that Jesus Christ instituted the Lord’s Supper as a symbolic memorial, for believers, to commemorate His death till he comes;

The offices of Overseer’s (Pastor) and Deacon;

The priesthood of all believers and their unity in the body of Christ;

The separation of Church and state.

The Future State

The bodily resurrection of both saved believers and lost sinners;

They that are saved unto everlasting life and blessedness which is Heaven;

They that are lost unto conscious punishing, everlasting damnation which is Hell.
